The path less taken

During the last two centuries, natural parenting and learning, although natural, have ironically become an unfamiliar, missunderstood and even an ‘unnatural’ way to raise and educate our children. Making it one of those life paths that are avoided at all costs by most people.

Some of the reasons why some paths are less taken is because they are missunderstood and represent the unknown. We are mostly comfortable with what is familiar and known to us because it is more predictable. But it is also what maintains the status quo and generational cycles that are hard to break. Just because the majority of people follow the same path, it does not mean that is the only path.

For those of you who have chosen the path less taken, let this be a loving reminder of what you embody while following this path to raise and educate your children:

🍃Courage to put the dignity and needs of your children, and their childhood, over fear, control, the wants and priorities of adults, and society’s demands.

🍃Determination by choosing respect, instinct, trust and connection as your compass.

🍃Wisdom to raise and educate your children with empathy and calm, and thus honor and respect the autonomy and innate curiosity of your children.

🍃Unshakeable love to put your children’s happiness and fulfillment over social pressures.

May your courage, determination, wisdom and unshakeable love continue to be your light and compass on this path, and may they help illuminate the steps of future generations that may choose this, the path less taken.
